| VCSU Science Students Invite You & Your Students to the Planetarium | Time and Native American Sky Stories "It's About Time"- This 40 minute program takes a lighthearted look at the various ways time has been calculated since early people first began observing the sun, moon, and constellatons. Appropriate for K-12. "Native American Night"- This 30 minute program offers different perspective to the standard Greek and Roman constellation mythologies includng authentic stories about the stars and constellations told by several North American Indian Tribes. | Grant Supported Courses | Attention! Science Teachers! The Science Division at Minot State University is offering grant-supported courses this summer in the sciences. The Math Science Partnership grant pays all tuition and fees, room and board, and travel expenses. In addition there is $100 per credit stipend for each participant. | November 22-December 6, 2008 | Attention all fulltime teachers, Grades 6-12 Applications Now available for 2008 Toyota International Teacher Galapagos Program Selected grades 6-12 educators will travel to the remote Galapagos Islands from November 22- December 6 on a fully funded study program that is geared toward international and environmental study. Participants will work to create an interdisplinary lesson that can be implemented in their home schools. Deadline: May 9, 2008.
